Body Hair - A gift for many, but a curse for others. How do you see it?
Everybody has it: gay or straight, man or woman, young or old. We all have body hair, although the ammount of body hair does vary from one person to another. There are many factors which determine one`s ammount of body hair, such as sexuality (men have more body hair than women), or the hormone level, because it is known that testosterone is the one to be held responsible for this.
However, many gay men see body hair as a sign of virility, masculinity. Most of the gay/bisexual men like their partners to be hairy and as natural as possible, because otherwise if their partner waxes or shaves his legs or arms, he`d be considered effeminate or something. Anyway, while some men consider body hair a blessing or something attractive (bears, you know), for others (such as transgenders and full-time crossdressers) this can be a real issue.
Although thanks to nowadays` technology we have the laser treatment for hair removal which can be either temporar (a few years) or permanent (for lifetime), not everybody can benefit from the laser hair removal treatment. Why? First of all, it`s the price. If Mother Nature cursed you with very much body hair on your chest, arms, shoulders or even back, then you probably have to spend thousands of dollars on laser hair removal. Although the treatment is not always painful, it may take a while until you get rid of all your body hair, from a couple of months to one or two years, depends on how "stubborn" your body hair is.
For those of you who can`t afford the laser hair removal treatment, there are the traditional methods used for removing hair: waxing and shaving. Waxing hurts like hell, but you get used to it after a while and it`s very efficient. Besides, your skin will be silky smooth up to a month, while with shaving you don`t get to feel any pain but it doesn`t take more than a day until your body hair begins to grow. And when it does, your skin it`s itchy and you can get these rashes, too. Grr.
Anyway, as I said, body hair can be a real pain in the as* for transgenders and full time crossdressers, because as said earlier genetic women have very few body hair because of the high level of estrogen in their blood. Certain antiandrogens and pills can significantly lower the ammount of body hair and make it grow slower, but this effect lasts as long as you take those pills. When you stop, everything comes back to normal. Why? It`s simple, the organism of a healthy biological male is used to continuously producing testosterone, and when you stop using pills to lower the testosteron level, your body keeps on producing it until it reaches the normal level. And yeah, unfortunately, this normal level is quite high, which means... masculine body and lots of body hair.
I personally HATE body hair, and I`ve been waxing for quite a lot. It happens extremely rare to shave my legs, only when I`m in a hurry or something, because it is said that shaving usually causes your hair to become thicker and blacker, so nooo thanks. However, I say NO to body hair. I like my skin to be silky smooth, because in the end skin is such a beautiful thing, why hide it under body hair? And besides, it`s gross to. Now, when it comes to my life partner, I like him waxed too, at least on the chest. Hairy legs and arms are fine, but chest... no. I mean, I wouldn`t like to spit any fur balls like cats, LOL!
What about you? Do you enjoy having body hair? Does it bother if your life partner is a hairy guy, or it would rather bother you if he waxed/shaved?

Just reading the word "body hair" gets me excited! I especially like a guy with a hairy ass, crotch and underarms.
