As it says on the homepage of the blog, EnDarkQ was born in April this year and its sole purpose is to bring contribution to the LGBT community all around the world with interesting and catchy articles, presenting relevant information and tips that hopefully the readers will find useful for the everyday life. A gay blog generally speaking talks about issues concerning the community, news (what star/celebrity came out of the closet, what gay blog is on top of the list, etc), gay prides/marches but also more common topics such as beauty tips or entertainment.
Having a gay blog or a lgbt blog (lgbt blogs usually deal with more common topics, regarding all the members of the community while the other blogs talk about gay stuff) is a responsability, you have to upload fresh articles and keep your readers updated, but there are very good parts, too!. For instance, when you`re good at writing articles and you touch topics that people are interested in, more an more visitors will come and comments will just pour. It is a very nice feeling to see that your work is appreciated and people love what you`re doing, every time your readers tell you these things they just make your day.
What are the most common article topics a gay blog talks about? Coming out, dealing with homophobes, depressions, changes, second thoughts, religion versus orientation, problems at school or at work, etc. Although whenever you come across a gay blog (a decent one, because most of them focus on other things rather than writing) the topics are the same, the articles are totally different because we all have different points of view and opinions, thing that makes us unique. This is why readers can read 10 articles about coming out or blind dates and still enjoy each and every one of them.
Another thing I enjoy about writing on a gay blog is that you can interact with your visitors, you talk to them on socialization sites and you just ask them what would they like to read about each time they come across a blog. They share their ideas with you, you decide what articles to write and everybody`s happy. Besides, the thing is that if your readers see you care about theirr ideas, they will share your gay blog with their friends and so on and so forth, your webpage becoming more and more popular. In the end, this is what every blogger dreams of, right?
To sum up, I`d like to say that no gay blog on Earth would be successful without daily readers to appreciate their work. For the past few year, hundreds of gay blogs began to appear all over the Internet, thing that had a very good impact on making hetero people more familiar with the LGBT community. Any community is in need of caring, competent bloggers!
