I was never able to explain this. maybe it's because, somehow, you feel like you're giving yourself a gift or something. I really don't know.

I remember that a few years ago each and every time I was sad or felt lonely, a few hours spent at the mall solved the "problem". It's kinda funny and sad, isn't it?

I also think that shopping is something that gay people "serve" quite often. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Ok, so yesterday I found a lot of interesting stuff and I tried to get some discounts, I read so much about discount codes, online coupon codes that I was convinced that I can save a few bucks. A few months ago I read an article regarding the economical crisis and it's effects on the usual online shopper and a guy was saying that he saved like 16k in one year hunting each time he was going to buy something... coupon codes.

Although this process might be time consuming, I think it's well worth it. Just take it this way: if for a business owner it's affordable to cut off 10% (this is just an example) from the price of a product (assuming that this is just a small part of the applied profit margin), basically you pay less. Of course, you have to search a bit for that vouchers or coupon codes how they call them, but for 5 minutes of google-ing... it's nice to be rewarded with a free shipping, 10% off etc.

P.S.: Check out http://www.couponcodes4u.com, my favorite.

Society

Concepts

We all live in the vast sea of society, where everyone is running, planning their lives, accomplishing something great, working hard for every penny, some are just leaving and some are just coming home, some are leaving someone and some find they one true love. So as you’re sailing on this infinite sea, you might find yourself getting in big storms or calm waters. Sometimes you may have to make big decisions for you to make in trough.

Sailing on this sea you may find other people struggling to get on with their boat, and sometimes you just sail alone.

We all struggle to get on with our lives, some tell lies to get through the day, and some don’t need to, some are opening their hears and some hearts are crushed. This is us humans, we sometimes are complicated and hard to understand, and sometimes we just are. Is there an order in our society? Is there any law that we humans follow? Well I think … sometimes, but most of the time we just are, raw and unorganized. Denying any help from others, closing in on the inside, and never letting anyone else in. Do we ever know love? Do we ever feel love? Do we know what love means? There isn’t a simple explanation about love, every one of us experiences love in a different way. Some of us just give too much love to others, but have you ever wondered if that worth’s giving? If the other one loves you back? Is love worth experiencing with someone who doesn’t care for you? We I think we all can agree on this that it doesn’t.

So we are sailing on this vast sea of society. We sometimes fall in love, and sometimes our heart gets broken.

Some people told me that when you’re feeling down, you should accept the help of others because it’s easier to get back again. Well that’s not me. I just lock myself in and begin to write. And I don’t think that someone will ever change that. That is who I am, just a lost boat on the sea, just a drop of water, hoping for a better tomorrow.

They also say that love is blind, and sometimes it is, when you’re completely in love all over your head. And you don’t see what’s right or what’s wrong, you’re just trying to make every moment special with who you’re in love with, and make him happy every second. But does it worth it? Yes it’s worth it when your partner loves you back, and you feel that love too. Than it’s worth caring for the other and loving him unconditionally. But if you don’t feel that love you should just hold on a moment and think it all through again, is it worth it? Because if you do love someone and that someone doesn’t love you back, it’s like a monolog, it’s like talking to yourself. Just be careful where you plant the seed of your love that it will grow in time or parish like a plant in the desert. Just don’t plant your seeds in infertile grounds. First explore and then act.

But can you do that? Explore? What about love at first sight when you don’t have the time for exploring? Well I can tell you that you have all the time in the world after. But then again what about the “love is blinding” part?

I struggle day in and day out with my sexuality

LGBT issues

Feeling like you're alone?A comment from Clay, I think the idea behind this is much more important so I choose to make it sticky. Ever since I can remember, when I was a teenager it was taught to me that sex is wrong outside of marriage, which I know God's view on it in the Bible, and even then I felt guilt for wanting to have sex.

Back then I was solely attracted to women, but over the years my desires and attractions have changed dramatically...due to porn. Yes...porn is poison, and it can and most likely will cause someone of either sex to question their adequacy in the bedroom, their self-worth, the worth of others, and EVEN their own sexuality. That's been my experience, and I truly despise the experiences of depression and anxiety that I face from this.

I've gone as far as "experimenting" a bit, but I don't feel I should have to disrespect myself like that just to find love and satisfying sex with that one. I've even tried to force myself to like guys...and it's difficult for many reasons. I love women...the softness they have, the emotional connection I get from them, and even the thought of having children naturally with a loving wife someday. But my attraction to the vagina has been a big hindrance to FULLY having a woman in my life.

I've also had bad experiences with women who didn't have good hygiene down there...and THAT was an even bigger turn-off which pushed me away from women for a while. On the flip side, I find the penis absolutely beautiful, arousing, satisfying, etc. However, I find men disgusting in how they are, how they treat women, body hair, deep voice, etc., which is all pretty ironic, being a man myself. Femininity is extremely beautiful to me, but I still feel like being with a feminine guy would feel...weird and wrong.

I've even tried to be with a transgendered woman, but later have feelings of guilt because of the sex that happened without love and marriage, and because I like penis. Hell, I can't even seem to find an inter-sexed girl that could be satisfying in every way to me because they're so rare. Sorry to take a detour...I guess.

I can't even think straight right now because I'm so angry, frustrated and lonely. Mind you, I'm 28, single, and have never been married, no kids, and I've never even had a girlfriend. I'm constantly feeling guilty for even DESIRING sex and all, but I'm too scared to have it for fear of disease (regardless of using protection) and because it feels wrong. Believe me, you DON'T want this kind of pressure all the time.

Feedback is appreciated.

Preferred places for vacation by gay people

For your entertainment

If you are gay and wanting to take a vacation, the last thing you want to mar your time is being around people who are prejudiced and will prevent you from having fun. So if you are a homosexual and are looking for a great place to vacation that allows you to only worry about the best place to eat dinner, there are a few great locations to visit.

New York, New York
The entire state of New York is gorgeous; areas around New York City are often rural and filled with vividly leaved trees and rolling hills. Even if your final destination is the city, consider staying a night or two in the main part of the state. Once you arrive, you'll note that the wonderful thing about New York City is that you'll find that no matter how long you're staying, you're never going to find enough time to do everything. Just walking through Times Square and all the shops that are available to visit and peruse will take at least a day.

While you're in New York City you can take the ferry to Staten Island, see the Statue of Liberty and shop till you drop in the plethora of exclusive boutiques and stores that fill the city to bursting. You'll also enjoy the fact that the city is an open and welcoming community, and being gay in NYC is no more out of the ordinary than wearing a hat. If you're looking for an amazing vacation that allows you to be yourself, head to New York City.

Disney / Orlando
Another great place to visit that is very gay and lesbian friendly is Orlando, Florida, specifically the Walt Disney World theme parks. As you probably know, Disney World plays host to the yearly Gay Pride Parade, and the surrounding areas in Central Florida have a thriving GBLT community. Much like New York City, just visiting all of the theme parks would take you days and you'd still not manage to do everything. In addition to Walt Disney World's Magic Kindom Park, you can also visit Epcot, Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios.

If Disney theme parks start wearing on you, you can visit a multitude of beaches that are a short drive from Orlando, such as Daytona Beach, Vero Beach or Cocoa Beach. Central Florida also boasts a warm climate almost year round, so beach weather is eight months a year.

Victoria, Canada
If you're looking for something out of the ordinary, with a European flair that won't bust your budget, consider visiting Victoria, Canada. Another place where you'll never run out of things to do, Victoria allows you to visit a castle, go whale watching or visit the Royal BC Museum. The city is lovely and quaint, and if you're looking for flat out wow, take a tour of the Butchart Gardens.

Victoria also has a small but active lesbian and gay community, so you'll be made to feel right at home in the city. Visiting Canada will get you out of the states and give you a taste of Europe without having to worry about transatlantic flights and travel costs.

So if you're looking for a vacation local that is homosexual friendly, either look for larger cities, or make sure that they have an active LBGT community. This ensures that you'll be focused on having a good time and enjoying yourself. Another good thing to look for is a city with a lot of things to do; a simple google search can ensure that you'll visit somewhere with plenty of vacation activities.

Decorating my home using blinds

Everyday life

Being gay I always had an emphasized sense for fashion, arts and even for interior decoration. Last week I wanted to change something in my newly rented flat. The old curtains were not good enough filtering the sunlight and in addition I think that some neighbors can see inside, which is not a very pleasant scenario.

From what I've read on the Internet venetian blinds are very popular and used everywhere in the world for home decorations. They are found in many homes and offices due to their affordability andelegant look. So this was a solution for my "trouble".

Also, Google-ing I found out many online stores who were selling aluminium venetian blinds.

Venetian blinds are consisted of horizontal slats that are bound together with wires or pieces of various types of cloth. Japan people were the initial inventors of those blinds, nevertheless they were not patented until much later. A man named Ed Beran, who was through UK based, claimed the idea in 1769. The blinds became popular and distributed rapidly across the world. Fortunately for all of us, they made that to the United States and also have come part of almost every home.

Most people wouldn’t believe that blinds will make a difference as to what a room seems like. When you examine any home decor magazine you would never view a window together with standard window shades, displayed in the photo. Most times you will observe some sort of venetian blinds advertised. Decorating your windows is just as important as choosing your home furniture or bed linens.

Another important side is the utility. Venetian blinds are easy to clean, your cat won't be able to climb on them all day long and they are easy to use.

So, why would I use old curtains instead of venetian blinds? I can't find any outstanding reason. Of course, if the style of your home is very classy, with some baroque furniture, some adequate curtains will look better than blinds, which, in this case, would feel too impersonal.

Justin Utley just released his sophomore album entitled "Nothing This Real"

For your entertainment

Today I'd like to drop a few lines about Justin Utley. Consistently, however, I have lived my life according to principles that homosexuals wholeheartedly oppose. While the majority of my homosexual friends -- both masculine and feminine -- and advocates of homosexuality have argued the reasons why I should consider accepting homosexuals as they are, the principles I value most are still pretty much set and stoned. For this reason, entering a homosexual affair is something I will never do or ever consider.

I believe that a man should be with a woman, so I'll never succumb to homosexual desires no matter the circumstances. When I'm dating, or in a committed relationship, I'm often tempted and find myself fighting urges to engage in adulterous behavior. Emotionally and physically, I sometimes search for others to confide in when experiencing difficult times. I, as a man who is highly fond of women, seek women who have the look that I'm mostly attracted to. Have I ever confided in men? Indeed I have. However, it wasn't in a sexual manner. No emotions, other than what was shared, were attached in any way that could lead to something such as sexual relations.

I'm not attracted to men at all. Physically and emotionally, my interest lies with women. Yes, there are a lot of things I'm comfortable with doing with men, especially my close male friends. I can comfortably share my intimate moments and experiences with them; I can engage in close contact, such as giving hugs and placing my arm around their shoulders. On the other hand, I can't take a conversation or close contact beyond that. Whether it's my homosexual or heterosexual male friends, I maintain an innocent friendship. Additionally, I maintain a high level of respect without crossing boundaries.

Regardless of my firm beliefs and personal stance on homosexuality, I keep my attitude and behavior in check. I treat others the way I want to be treated and respected as a person. When I see homosexuals, does it disgust me in any way? Absolutely not; in fact, I anticipate seeing it because it shows that we as a nation can grow and live together, despite personal opinions, preferences and beliefs. Conversely, when I see homosexuals, it doesn't turn me on or interest me in the least bit. Whether I'm in a volatile relationship or desperately single, I would say no to a homosexual affair.

Lately, my understanding on homosexuality in general has broadened. For this reason, I no longer place homosexuals in one group. Even though I had gay friends and was comfortable around them, I used to think they chose to be gay and were destined for hell. Now, I feel differently in so many ways. However, my overall outlook on homosexuality remains intact. Therefore, I can't picture myself being with a man on a romantic or emotional level that's outside of, or close to, the boundaries of a friendship.

I'm a faithful man, so cheating in general is something I have always attempted to avoid. I live a simple life, and I appreciate and accept people from different walks of life. Therefore, homosexuals are fine and decent people in my books. I love them and find them quite interesting, to say the least. Nevertheless, when it comes down to engaging in a homosexual affair, I'm more than sure I'll never change my opinion. I'm truly 100% against it. I'm a faithful man who is unequivocally in love with women, so if I ever have an affair, it won't be with a homosexual.

The life of Freddie Mercury from a homosexual's point of view

Celebrities

Freddie Mercury wrote the song "We Are the Champions" and that is what he was, a champion. A prolific songwriter and front man singer for the band Queen, he was famous for his brash onstage persona. In my opinion, his performances were the most entertaining and flamboyant I have ever seen. He did it with powerful vocals as his voice had a range of four octaves.

The hits Freddie Mercury wrote for Queen are numerous. When you look down these list of hits, you can see the different genres and styles that make it hard to pinpoint one style for Mercury. He said he hated doing the same thing over and over and he kept his word. I believe his unpredictable style coupled with his massive talent made him the superstar he became.

In 1970, Mercury and Brian May with Roger Taylor formed the band Queen. Mercury said that in naming the band, "I was certainly aware of the gay connotations, but that was just one facet of it". His vocal range and technique were astonishing. I found the complexity of the music he wrote, like in "Bohemian Rhapsody", fascinating as did millions of other worldwide.

Queen's success led to many live performances. I was enthralled by his theatrics and the way he involved the audience in the performance. He was able to hold the audience spellbound with his outrageous strutting in skimpy outfits, while belting out songs in his rich voice. One of Queen's most noted performances was in 1985 during LiveAid, which has been described as one of the best live rock performances ever held. Mercury had 72,000 fans in the palm of his hand and the critics said he was one of the greatest rock front men of all time.

It has been said that Mercury's homosexuality went over the heads of many people and it certainly went right over mine. Not that it would matter in any case, but I never thought of Queen or Mercury in any sexual orientation. They just blazed great rock songs with complex music and I loved it. Mercury was the consummate performer and his music fascinated me. I knew every lyric from every song. When Queen was popular in the 70s we were not the MTV generation. We based our loyalty to artists based on the music, not appearance or personal life. We heard it, we liked it and everyone liked Queen.

Mercury was gay, though he did have a significant relationship with a woman that he lived with for several years. They remained friends and she was what he called his "only true friend". Some say he was openly gay and others claim he hid that he was homosexual. Mercury seemed to have the attitude that if he was gay so what and I agree. So what. I admired his style and music and gave no thought to his orientation. So what indeed.

Sadly, we lost this talent at the young age of 45. Mercury was diagnosed with AIDS in 1987, though he denied it. I was upset and felt a sense of loss when I heard he had passed. When I heard it was AIDS, I was even more pained because it meant he suffered greatly. He was criticized for hiding his AIDS status from the public, but no one knows what it was to be Freddie Mercury, at this time. Mercury denied the rumors for many years as the British press hounded him, but his increasingly gaunt appearance was a telltale sign. A day after publicly acknowledging his AIDS status, Mercury passed away on November 24, 1991. Freddie Mercury's legacy will live on.

Is Homosexuality a Disease? (read this my heterosexual friends)" />
As late as the mid 1980s homosexuality was still listed in the the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) published by the American Psychological Association. The DSM listed homosexuality as a disorder along side mental illnesses such as psychosis and schizophrenia. When homosexuality was removed from the DSM in 1986, it was not without controversy. Detractors held fast to the belief that homosexuality is a deviance from nature, therefore must be classified as a mental disorder.

Ignorance and bigotry, mainly found in religious communities, further promotes the idea of homosexuality as a disorder. Many churches may see homosexuality as an act of the devil's influence or even a demonic possession. However these sects of people are shrinking.

From a scientific standpoint the ideal relationship is, of course, a male and female for reproductive purposes. Few species are able to reproduce asexually. At the same time, a very few species carry on relationships with mating partners, often copulating then parting ways. Even in species where animals live communally it is rare for both parents to act as a unit past the point of sex. The lasting relationships humans form make our species unique, and therefore we can not be held against a standard set by mating partners in nature. Even then, there are a number of well documented cases of homosexual relationships among species who form lengthy relationships, such as the famous male penguin couple located at the Toronto Zoo.

If we can agree that the relationships formed by humans do not compare to those founded by animals then we can also agree that the only relationship standard humans can be compared against are humans themselves. As we look back we can see that homosexuality has been a part of human relationships for as long as we have recorded history. There exists evidence, in the forms of carvings and drawings, that same sex unions existed in Mesopotamia and ancient Egypt. Ancient Greeks, the ancestors of democracy, science, and fine arts, not only tolerated homosexuality, but celebrated it as a right of passage. Instances of homosexuality can be traced to almost every culture and race on Earth.

With so much evidence to the existence of homosexuality throughout culture and history, it can not be considered a disorder of a disease, but rather a facet of biological development and the human race. Instead of treating homosexuality as a disorder, it makes more sense to view homophobia this way.

While there are some instances of homophobia throughout time, until the invention of modern religions, homosexuality was largely tolerated, if not sanctioned as a valid type of relationship. With the help of these religions, members were taught to hate and fear any person with deviations from the church teachings, including members of other religions, races, and sexual orientation.

The hatred and intolerance shown by homophobic people is unfounded and can border on manic. While homosexuals pose no actual risk to the general public (its not contagious, nor do homosexuals threaten the lives of heterosexuals) the feelings of fear and disgust persist. Even if a religion teaches homosexuality is a sin, another persons homosexuality would not affect the believers level of sin. Fear and anxiety without a valid reason points directly to a mental disorder. The desire to control another persons sexuality and fit alter there personality to fit a set of ideals also points squarely to a mental disorder.

Homosexuality is not a disease or a disorder, but a natural facet of human sexuality. Mental disorders exist in those that are so wrapped up in another persons sexuality that they see it as a risk to themselves.
