Pro or against beauty care products?
Advice Needed for Unpleasant Experience with Body-Care Product
A week ago, I bought myself a new body lotion, from quite a famous brand in the field of beauty products. I`ve been using body lotions and all sorts of creams for a very long time now, and I have to admit that never have I encountered with any problem because of the beauty products that I used. Yet, something happened to me this morning because of this body lotion. I have to say that whenever I did an allergy test, it came out that I`m not allergic to anything.
Last evening, after my daily bath, I used the new body lotion I was telling you about (I did say I bought it last week, but there still was left a bit of my other lotion, so I didn`t start the new one). Everything was perfect, it moisturized my skin really well and there wasn`t any problem at all.
This morning, though, when I came home I`ve noticed some weird red spots on my neck. When I took off my t-shirt, I`ve seen that my whole torso and arms were covered in these red spots, and it resembled a very ugly skin rash. Then I started thinking what did I eat yesterday, I thought maybe it was the food, but they I reminded that there was nothing different on my menu. When I remembered that I used the body lotion, I rushed to it and look for the "best before" date, and guess what? It wasn`t there.
I was pretty angry this morning, and I still am, since my skin rash is still there. I took an antihistamine, but unfortunately it doesn`t seem to have any effect. I hope that the skin rash will be gone by tomorrow, because if now I`m gonna take some measures about this, against the owner of the store. I`m not quarrelsome, though, and this is why I wanted to ask you what`s to be done in this situation regarding the owner of the store from where I bought the body lotion.

Before you blame the product I have a few questions.
1. Have you worn the shirt you were wearing before this?
2. Have you recently changed any of your laundry products (e.g. Detergent, fabric softener, dryer sheets)?
3. How long were you using the first tube prior to this happening and at what frequency?
1. Yes, it`s one of my favourite shirts, and also used it a few days before.
2. Nope, when it comes to detergent and softners I usually buy products in larger quantities (for instance, my detergent has 7 kilos (and have just checked the date, it`s best before 2012) )
3. Hmm... I think I`ve been using it for like a month, and used it after almost each bath.
I really think it`s the product, but I think I`ll ask my mom to use it too and see if the same thing happens to her, ahahaha
It just seems odd that the first reaction would be a month into using it with no problems prior. Do you have the rash on all of your body or is it confined to one side? If so have you been under increased stress?
It`s on the entire body... . You got me wrong, it`s not after a month when I`ve been using it. When my other body lotion was over, I bought a new one but I didn`t look at the date... because it didn`t have one. The new body lotion caused me the rash, but I must say that it`s the same brand and the same producer.
