What do you think about it? Have you ever experienced or thought about love like that?

A very emotional e-mail we received...

January 9, 2013 |  by

Looking for a good friend and lover; I have AIDS and both hips have been replaced and try to stay as active as I can. This week I have joined a gym so I can tone back up. I am confident in whom I am and I would like my partner to be confident in who he is. I do not smoke, drink or do drugs. Just an FYI I am not into how good a man looks only at how big his heart is.

I am very religious, the church I go to does not approve of homosexual couples; but they do know I am gay and have AIDS; but for the last four years I have been practicing celibacy. If the church knew I was involved with another man I would be excommunicated. So, though I am confident in whom I am, I do have to be careful until the state of Florida becomes a state which allows same sex marriage or unions. I would like to marry one day.

The World of Lesbian Drama

September 22, 2012 |  by

As homosexuality becomes more accepted by society, many people are interested in homosexual relationships. In fact, shows such as the "L-Word" and the open declaration of same-sex preferences by many public figures has made homosexuality, particularly lesbianism, appealing to those that would not have considered the thought of being with someone of the same sex fifty, twenty or even ten years ago.

It seems, that women are granted less discrimination when it comes to sexual fluidity. Thus, many women who previously dated men exclusively are know interested in sapphic love.

The Struggles Of A Transgender Woman

July 12, 2012 |  by

I'm a young transgender woman and I can say that so far, my transition has been somehow good. By "somehow" I mean that I had plenty of bad experiences, but there are also a lot of positive aspects about it, thankfully. There are several things I would like to discuss in this blog post: family, career and education.

If you ask me, these three aspects are the most important in anyone's life. For me, family comes first. I have to admit that when I came out as transgender to my parents, they were both very disappointed and upset and they kept asking themselves where did they do wrong. I did not keep in touch with my father for several months, until one day when I called him and I told him "We can do this several years from now. It is your choice if you want to ignore me and meet me in 10 years' time just to apologize for the fact that you hated your only child". I think that was a wake up call for him. Fortunately, we're having a great father-daughter relationship now, and all I can tell you is to try and communicate with your parents, even though they might offend you at times. They simply don't understand what you are going through. Also, do not be afraid of asking a psychologist or psychotherapist to help you with this matter - you will be amazed of the useful advice they can provide.

Ricky Martin's homosexuality

Ricky Martin's homosexuality

July 3, 2012 |  by

It has taken Ricky Martin 10 years to announce to the world that he is a homosexual male. The subject became an issue in the past when he began considering the possibility of sharing his secret with others. The people around him knew what he was hiding, but they were instrumental in convincing him to remain silent. These people were very close to him and had the best of intentions, so Ricky Martin agreed to lead the secretive life he always had.

Ricky Martin has not always been comfortable with his homosexuality, and a large part of this sentiment came from the teachings of his Catholic religion. What he learned from it was that homosexuality is “evil.” This brought him to the conclusion that he was a bad person and it tormented him over the years.

American presidential elections have traditionally been won and lost based on these four words: "It's the economy, stupid.'

George Bush Snr lost a chance to lead America for a second term in the 1992 presidential election because oil prices rose despite America's 1990 invasion of oil-rich Iraq. Bush also broke his 1988 'read my lips, no new taxes' pledge when he raised taxes in 1990. These negatives allowed Bill Clinton, the Democrat challenger, to win the 1992 election.

Elections, elections...

Paying more or less for the same product

Paying more or less for the same product

March 14, 2012 |  by

Yesterday I have surfed online to buy some stuff (hair cosmetics) and I spent like 3 hours opening tabs, calling customer departments and so on.

Of course, I don't even need those products but it is very comfortable and relaxing to buy things you don't really need. I was never able to explain this. maybe it's because, somehow, you feel like you're giving yourself a gift or something. I really don't know.

I remember that a few years ago each and every time I was sad or felt lonely, a few hours spent at the mall solved the "problem". It's kinda funny and sad, isn't it? :)

Decorating my home using blinds

February 14, 2012 |  by

Being gay I always had an emphasized sense for fashion, arts and even for interior decoration. Last week I wanted to change something in my newly rented flat. The old curtains were not good enough filtering the sunlight and in addition I think that some neighbors can see inside, which is not a very pleasant scenario.

From what I've read on the Internet venetian blinds are very popular and used everywhere in the world for home decorations. They are found in many homes and offices due to their affordability andelegant look. So this was a solution for my "trouble".

Also, Google-ing I found out many online stores who were selling aluminium venetian blinds.
