Okay, there are a few movies that every LGBT person has to see at least once. Why? They`re really interesting and you have something to learn from them, and I`m more than sure that you`ll see your own story in one of them, or at least identify yourself with the main character. Some of these LGBT movies are funny, some of them are really realistic and sad in the same time. However, I tried to make a selection of 10 of the best gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender themed movies ( LGBT movies) and I also added a little description about each and every one of them. 1. A girl like me - The Gwen Araujo Story. By far, this is one of my favourite LGBT movies. Produced in 2006, The Gwen Araujo Story is a drama based on true facts presenting the life and death of Gwen Araujo, a transgender teenager who was brutally murdered at the age of 17 in October 2002. It`s for everybody, not only for transgenders and it`s definitely worth watching, don`t miss it! P.S.: Make sure you have tissues next to you, because this movie is dazzling.

I am going to present you one of the LGBT related movies that I like the most, called the Gwen Araujo story. The action of this movie focuses on the life of a transgender teenager, Gwen Araujo, that was brutally murdered by four men after they found out that she is transgendered. Since the Gwen Araujo story is based on real facts, I think this makes the movie even more shocking and it is really worth seeing.
It all begins with the childhood of Gwen Araujo, her family, her very few friends and anniversaries after which there are shown the first signs which indicate that Gwen Araujo is a transgender. At first, nobody took this thing in serious, not even her mother, but after a while when they realised that it is not okay things began to change, little by little.
Queer as folk is worth seeing!
Queer as folk is an American TV serial based on gay and lesbian life. I have personally seen it around two years ago and I can say it is both funny and dramatically realistic. In Queer as folk we see the story of Brian, a wealthy beautiful man that never thought he is going to fall in love with a 17 yo. Besides this, in Queer as folk there is also presented the story of two lesbians that got married and decide to have children.
Queer as folk is great to see especially if you want to see how are things going with the gay and lesbian life in USA. Queer as folk was filmed between 2000- 2004 so it is quite recent and deals with problems that all gay, lesbian and transgender encounter with every day such as homophobia, gay night clubs, diseases, marriages and basically in Queer as folk is shown the hatred that most straight people use to show to us.
