Adoption Vs. Birth

May 5, 2010 |  by  |  Share

Sooner or later, there comes a period in everybody`s life when our maternal instincts get "activated", when we get tired of having pets and we just feel the need of having a baby. There often happens that due to the stressful environment or certain health issues, many women (and men) are not able to have children with the one she or he loves, and this usually leads to fights and break ups. Then you got another alternative, the adoption ... But things can get complicated.

I personally think that before trying the adoption part, we should all try to do our best in order to have children that are part of us, I think that it is vital to know that you are raising your baby and it`s your blood through its veins. Adoption is not a strange phenomenon anymore nowadays, lots of couples choose to adopt a child that can call them "mommy and daddy", but what would happen when the kid grows up and starts asking questions? He or she will be a teenager, and that`s the part when they can hate you for not telling them about the adoption. Then, it is really hard to cope with the pression... .

What's your preferred physical type? Bears or Black?

May 4, 2010 |  by  |  Share

We often forget that most people have definitely preferred physical types. The African-American guy you’re so hot for may have turned you down because you’re white; study him a few nights and you’ll probably notice he only leaves with other blacks.

The cowboy who turned you down probably did so because you’re dark and tall; observe, and you will doubtless see he’s always got a small, feylooking blond in tow. The cultivated balletomane, with whom you discussed Mark Morris and Twyla Tharp’s latest with such pleasure, more than likely didn’t go home with you because he’s only turned on by monosyllabic, Neanderthal-looking guys with twenty-four-inch necks.

What you don`t know won`t hurt you?

Why leaving it unsaid?

What you don`t know won`t hurt you?

May 3, 2010 |  by  |  Share

I feel the need to talk about things that hurt us, make us reconsider our options and think twice about the decisions we`ve made in our lives. Unfortunately, when you hurt somebody, you miss the fact that it may be so painful that the other one can`t stand it, and then people do stupid things just to forget about everything.

"What you don`t know won`t hurt you, honey, things are better left unsaid!". For sure you`ve heard somebody tell you that they thought of this expression a thousand times before, and decided not to unveil the truth. Come on, does it really work like that? I personally think that it doesn`t apply for everybody  and it is often used as a lame excuse. I`ve always loved honesty, even if it may hurt and sadden you sometimes. Hiding the truth just for the fact that "you care" is not an option.

8 questions NOT to ask a transsexual

April 29, 2010 |  by  |  Share

It is known that being a transsexual supposes lots of courage, self-esteem, ambition and determination. Some people may find this phenomenon weird or even funny, and that`s why they ask transsexuals stupid questions that not only offends them, but also make the curious one seem a total incult.

Most of us can cope with those particular questions although they are really unpleasant and it occurs many times that you get tired of some people`s mockery. I will show you 10  of the most common questions that transsexuals are asked in order to satisfy curiosities.

1. What is your original name, you know, before you were transsexual?

Well, it is the one that I choose to have right now in the moment of speaking that really matters. There is no such thing as "original" or "fake" name. I don`t actually take my ID with me everytime I go out, so I guess I can assign myself any name I want to.

What is LGBT? What does it include?

April 29, 2010 |  by  |  Share

LGBT is a general term that reffers to all the people that have a different sexual orientation than the heterosexual one. LGBT includes intersex/hermaphrodites, homosexuals, lesbians, pansexuals/omnisexuals, bisexuals and transsexuals. For the past few years, people had different opinions about LGBT, especially regarding the acceptance, marriage, employment, religion issues and adoptions made by gay/lesbian couples. As you may guess, people don`t see LGBT in a positive way ... .

There still are many people that are unaware of what certain terms mean, or use them in an unappropriate way. I am going to make a brief summary about each and every term, in order to ease your understanding, and hopefully manage to make people a bit more open minded. If any questions, please ask!

1. Homosexual/Gay - Term used for describing a man that has sexual intercourse or romantic connections with another man. There are more gays than lesbians, studies have shown that approximately 5% of men have a gay/bisexual orientation.

Marriage - A human right, not a heterosexual privilege! 5 reasons to legalize Gay Marriages

April 28, 2010 |  by  |  Share

Since ancient times, our ancestors mentioned marriage as a form of spiritual connection with the one we truly love. It was back then when the boundaries were set that the marriage must take place between a man and a woman in the holy matrimony. More than 5000 years later, things have changed a bit.

1. Marriage means love.

It is normal  for two persons that love each other regardless of their gender, sexuality, nationality, religion or ethnicity, to get married. At least theoretically, because practically gay marriages are not allowed in many countries all around the world.

The reasons are mostly based on religious facts linked to The Bible but also to the future generations that may misunderstand the concept of freedom and acceptance. Well, according to The Bible, God tells us that those who do not respect their parents shall be killed with rocks, and it must happen exactly the same with gay people and other people that have a different sexual orientation. The Bible was written 2000 years ago, and guess what? Nowadays nobody kills anybody for even having claimed the life of his parent! Yet, homosexuals, bisexuals and transsexual people are being murdered every year. You do the maths.
